How to open office 2007 files into Office 2003

Many a times i have noticed and have been asked regarding the above mentioned topic. Some people says that, their word/excel files in the e-mail attachment dose not opens in their computer and something like that. Behind the scene what actually happens, the office 2003 files and office 2007 files bears different file extension and they are not compatible with each other. You can open office 2003 files in office 2007 however vice versa is not. Say for example, word 2003 file bears the extension .doc and the word 2007 document bears the extension .docx. So, in order to open office 2007 files in office 2003 application, you need to install a compatibly pack provided by Microsoft itself. If you do not want to download anything there is a other way also. Send the office 2007 file to your gamil account and there you can view the office 2007 files by clicking on View option near the attachment and the contents will be opned in your browser as google docs.

Yes, that is true and can be helpful when you are in a hurry though it has certain limitations. If the office 2007 documents are password protected then google docs fails to open it and also sometimes image formatting may be lost. Thanks for your valuable comment
