How to block certain websites from childrens ?

Now computers are everywhere and also the internet. Whether it is a school, college, office or even home, internet is there. With the increasing demand and availability of internet, now a days it’s a great challenge how to safeguard your children form using some websites which you do not want to be your children should visit. Please follow with me and i will show you a simple process, so that you can get control over children.

1. Let’s say, you want to block the web site www.abc.com
2. Now open the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
(Steps – Double click on My Computer -> Double Click on C: drive -> Double Click on Windows folder -> Double Click on Drivers folder -> Double Click on etc folder (See Image below)
3. Inside etc folder you will find a file called host
4.Now right click on the host file and choose Open With Notepad

5. Now, in the host file you have opened, under the line 127.0.0.1 localhost add another line as 127.0.0.1 www.abc.com
6.Now click on the file menu and save the file.

Congratulation !! You have blocked the site www.abc.com in your computer from being viewed by anybody. In case you want to get back, just removed the line you have added and save the file.

P.S. You can block any site of your choice (www.abc.com is an example here ) and also as many sites you want.

    Really a very handy trick. I have tested your trick and it is working nicely. Due to some reason, i want to unblock the site. How can i do that. Please help.

    Hey ! It has already mentioned in the tutorial. Anyway you can unblock site by same way opening the host file in notepad and by removing the site you added for blocking. Then you should save the file and now it is ready to go..
